The predecessor of T. Chatani & Co., Ltd. was founded as an exporter of miscellaneous goods, including highly successful cultured pearls to Europe and The US.
1930s

1936

Tokyo Branch Office opened.

1937

T. Chatani & Co., Ltd. incorporated with J.Yen 1 million of capital. Exported toys, stationery, sports goods, household goods and other miscellaneous goods, chiefly metal slide fasteners to the US.
1940s

1943

Established branches and liaison offices in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Mukden,Tsinan. Trade name changed to T. Chatani & Co., Ltd. Resumed exports to the US as soon as embargo was lifted after WWII, expanded business to other countries.
1950s
Started export of tires and automobiles to the Middle East, laying the groundwork for the export of Japanese aumobiles.
1960s
Started dealing in construction, farming and materials handling machinery.
First imported woven straw handbags from China, paving the way to today's trade in Chinese interior decorating goods.
Started import of Seculate (an anti-condensation compound) and Cerinol (a waterproof material).

1961

Established a liaizon office in Kuwait (~1970)

1964

Was designated as a Japan-China friendly trading company.
Chatani's success in promoting trade recognized by presentation of the first Prime Minister's Award.
Established a liaizon office in Khartoum, Sudan (~1966)

1966

Established a liaizon office in Beirut, Lebanon (~1975)

1968

Established Chatani Jewelry Co., Ltd.
Masahiro Chatani assnued the presidency.

1969

Capital increased to J.Yen 100 million.
1970s
Started export of precision instruments, hand tools, stainless steel pipes and other leading Japanese goods to the US and Europe.

Established a liaizon office in Nairobi, Kenya (~1972)

Moved the Saudi Arabia liaison office from Jeddah to Riyadh (~2010).
2000s

2002

Joint venture of Suzhou BOE Chatani Electronics Co., Ltd. established in Suzhou.

2004

The SBC Division (Backlight business) ISO9001 certification.
Established a liaison office in Dubai, UAE.

2005

The SBC Division (Backlight business) ISO14001 certification.

2007

Kei Ejiri assumed the presidency.
New company inaugurated through corporate separation with capital of J.Yen 260 million.

2008

Capital increased to J.Yen 310 million.

2009

OG Corporattion acquired T. Chatani & Co., Ltd.
2010s

2010

Tokyo Branch moved to OG Tokyo Bldg., Nihonbashi-honcho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Takeshi Ikeda appointed president & CEO.
Upgraded Dubai liaison office to Middle East Branch and moved to Dubai Airport Free Zone.
